Mazing Maze

Your information

Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 September 2026

This policy explains how information is handled when you play Mazing Maze on iPhone or iPad, visit mazing-maze.com, or contact us.

Who is responsible

Richard Carrigan (Heartware) is responsible for the information we handle as the developer of Mazing Maze. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Your progress on your device

The game saves personal bests, recent runs, sprint progress, attempt counts and your Remove Ads status on your device. These records let you track your progress without connecting to a leaderboard. We do not operate a server that receives your local run history.

Local records remain until the app’s data is deleted or replaced; recent history and daily records are bounded within the app. Deleting the app removes its local data, but device backups may retain a copy. Restoring a backup can restore that data.

Apple purchases

Apple processes the optional Remove Ads purchase. The game receives product, transaction and ownership information so it can unlock the purchase and restore it on supported devices. We do not receive your card number, payment password or biometric information. Apple retains purchase records under its own policies; deleting the app does not cancel a purchase or erase Apple’s records.

Remove Ads stops interstitial ads being displayed. It does not delete information previously processed by advertising services, and it is not a promise that every advertising SDK network request stops.

Game Center

If you choose to connect to Game Center, the game uses your Game Center player identifier to work with Apple’s leaderboard service. Where a leaderboard is available, scores or completion times are submitted to Apple and rankings are retrieved. Your Game Center profile and scores may be visible to other players according to Apple’s settings. Local play does not require Game Center. Manage your Game Center account and privacy through Apple’s settings.

Advertising and consent

Mazing Maze integrates Google AdMob to show interstitial ads between runs. Google’s advertising SDK may process your IP address and approximate location, device or app identifiers, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. These data support ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and service improvement. Advertising partners may also receive information as described in Google’s disclosures and the consent form.

Google’s consent tools ask for choices where required. Personalisation depends on your choices, device permissions and applicable requirements. Where Apple’s permission is required to access the advertising identifier for tracking, that permission must be granted first. Declining personalisation does not necessarily remove all ads or all data processing needed to deliver them.

To revisit available advertising choices, open Settings → Privacy choices in the game. You can withdraw consent through that form where offered. Withdrawal does not undo processing that happened before you changed your choice. Device-level tracking permissions can be managed in iOS Settings. If a privacy form is unavailable, contact us for help.

See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

This website and support requests

This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Delivering and protecting the site involves processing technical request information such as IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps and browser details. We do not add advertising pixels, visitor analytics scripts or marketing cookies to this site. Fonts, images and the gameplay video are served from our own site. Cloudflare may use security mechanisms, including essential cookies where needed. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this to respond and resolve your request. Please do not send passwords, payment details or information that is not needed to explain the issue. Support correspondence is kept while needed to handle the request and any related dispute or legal obligation, then deleted when no longer needed.

Why information is used

Where UK or European data protection law applies, our bases for processing are providing the game and purchases you request (performance of a contract), our legitimate interests in responding to support requests and keeping the site and game secure, compliance with legal obligations where applicable, and consent for advertising-related processing that requires it. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Google and Apple also explain the bases for their own processing in their privacy information.

Sharing, storage and international processing

Information is handled by the services described above and by the email provider used to answer support requests. We may disclose information if necessary to comply with law or protect legal rights. We do not run our own advertising-data marketplace.

Apple, Google, Cloudflare and email providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Their policies explain retention practices and international transfer protections, including contractual safeguards where applicable. Their retention periods are separate from the local game records and support correspondence described here. See Apple’s privacy policy for its services.

Your rights

Depending on where you live and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. Contact us using the address above to make a request concerning information we hold. For records controlled by Apple or Google, their privacy tools may also be needed. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify a request.

You can complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Children and changes to this policy

The game does not ask players to provide their age or create a developer account. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information directly to us, please contact us so we can investigate and address it.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Significant changes will be communicated where required.
